Humphrey & Stretton PLC is a privately owned company with over 60 years’ experience in manufacturing doors, frames, doorsets, timber screens and all associated joinery products from its’ 18,000 sq.ft premises in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. Products are manufactured from their raw materials and not adapted items made to suit, so we are in full control of all materials from initial conception to final assembly, rather than relying on 3rd parties.
Our capacity allows us to produce around 40,000 doorsets per annum, or far more loose doors or screens. Serving all commercial applications with an extensive history in supplying products to education and healthcare sectors, our products are constantly evolving to keep pace with the ever-changing requirements for safety, sustainability, durability and quality in the different environments they are designed for. Our Doors & Frames have been put in a wide range of buildings, from The Shard in London, to Lister Hospital in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
With advancements in CAD/CAM technology we are able to produce precise, machined items in large quantities very rapidly – and where a more delicate touch is required our qualified and talented staff can carry out these operations in our joinery workshop.
The company is approved by the DHSS for the supply of internal doorsets under the HTM58 technical guidelines for use in healthcare environments nationwide. Quality management is compliant with BS EN ISO 9001:2008 and timber products can be fully FSC® certified if sustainability is a key concern. Humphrey and Stretton will assist its customers in the attainment of a BREEAM excellence rating.
